I got details of your webpage from a colleague in Istanbul, who tells me you are a very well-respected property commentator in Turkey.My fiancփ©e, who is originally from Istanbul, and I are buying a one bedroom apartment in a development by Akkoza that started in 2008. My fiancփ©e decided to buy the apartment in stage 2C off plan using a loan from Akkoza itself. We are paying interest on a monthly basis on the loanItÖ¢‚¬„¢s a 77.2 m2 apartment costing TL 290,000. The original completion date was the end of November 2010We are now very worried about the development ever being completed and just want to get out without losing the money we have paid so far.In your experience, is the situation with Akkoza as bad as it seems? Can we cancel the contract to buy the apartment , on the basis that Akkoza has failed to complete it on schedule? Can we sell the apartment part-completed?
